What should you know before hiring a yacht in Dubai

  • Are prices per yacht or per person?

    Prices are per yacht per hour, not per person.

  • How many people can join the yacht?

    Each yacht has a strict maximum capacity set by Dubai maritime authorities.
    Exceeding this number is not allowed under any circumstances.

  • Can children join?

    Yes, children are allowed.
    Life jackets may be required for children, depending on age and sea conditions.

  • Are pets allowed?

    Usually no, unless explicitly approved in advance for a specific yacht.

  • Do we need to bring ID?

    Yes. The original passport or Emirates ID of the booking person (and sometimes guests) may be required for marina and authority checks.

  • How early should we arrive?

    Please arrive 30 minutes before departure for check-in and safety briefing.

  • Can we extend our trip?

    Overtime is possible only if the yacht is available and must be approved by the captain.
    Overtime is charged per hour or per 30-minute block.

  • Can the captain end the trip early?

    Yes. If guests behave unsafely, violate rules, or ignore instructions, the captain may terminate the charter without refund.

  • Are water sports included?

    No, unless explicitly stated.
    Jet skis, sea bobs, and other equipment must be booked separately and are subject to availability and rules.

  • Is swimming allowed?

    Swimming is allowed only when approved by the captain and in permitted areas.

  • Can we bring our own food?

    Yes, most yachts allow outside food.
    Some yachts may charge a cleaning fee.

  • Is a security deposit required?

    Some yachts require a refundable security deposit to cover damages or excessive cleaning.

  • What if we forget something on the yacht?

    We are not responsible for lost items, but we will assist if items are found.
    Courier or shipping costs are the guest’s responsibility.

  • Is a deposit required?

    Yes. Most bookings require a deposit (usually 50%), with the balance payable before departure.
    Some yachts, peak dates, or special events require full prepayment.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

  • Can we choose the route?

    You may request preferred routes (Dubai Marina, JBR, Atlantis, Burj Al Arab, Bluewaters), but the final decision rests with the captain based on: weather, sea traffic, authority restrictions, and safety

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

    If conditions are deemed unsafe by the captain or authorities:

    You may reschedule, or

    • Receive a refund for the undelivered portion of the charter
    • Light rain or cloudy weather does not automatically qualify as unsafe.

  • Can you arrange catering and decorations?

    Yes. We can arrange:

    • Catering
    • Birthday, proposal or corporate decorations
    • DJs, photographers, entertainers

    Third-party supplier terms apply.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Our cancellation policy depends on the notice period and booking type.

    In general:

    • 72+ hours: refund or reschedule
    • 48–72 hours: partial refund
    • Less than 48 hours/no-show: no refund
    • Peak dates (e.g., New Year’s Eve) are non-refundable.

  • What is not included?

    Unless stated otherwise:

    • Catering and alcohol
    • Decorations, DJ, photographer
    • Water sports (jet skis, sea bobs, etc.)
    • Overtime
    • Special marina or docking fees

  • What is included in the yacht rental?

    This depends on the yacht, but typically includes:

    • Licensed captain and crew
    • Fuel for standard cruising routes
    • Soft drinks, water, ice
    • Safety equipment
    • Basic onboard amenities
